Goochland County Board of Supervisors Meeting
The regular meeting of Goochland County Board of Supervisors is a great opportunity to meet BoS members and personally lobby against the VSP proposal one-on-one after the meeting.

About the event
The Goochland County Board of Supervisors will be the deciding vote as to whether VSP can have upwards of 23 - 125 shooters on-site.
The application is currently scheduled to be heard at the August 2026 meeting, but a deferral at the Planning Commission level will push the date back to September or October.
Please attend all BOS meetings ahead of the actual hearing. The most important lobbying happens in-person, introducing yourself to the Supervisors and explaining exactly why this application will be injurious to you as a resident and neighbor.
Remember that according to Goochland County Code, a conditional use permit must:
"not be detrimental to or endanger the public health, safety, morals, comfort or general welfare;"
"not be injurious to the use and enjoyment of other property in the immediate vicinity for the purposes already permitted, nor substantially diminish and impair property values within the neighborhood;"
